Welcome!
It is my distinct pleasure as President of the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to welcome you to our web site. Please use this tool to inquire about our chapter programs, service initiatives and our distinct impact not only at the University of Florida, but in the Gainesville community.
In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha paved the way and still paves the way for change in history through sisterhood, scholarship and service to all mankind.
The Iota Lambda chapter was chartered on May 17, 1975 by the 25 Pearls of Distinction. Our chapter’s principle focus is uplifting the community through service, philanthropic efforts and scholarly deeds. By effectively implementing Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Heart of ESP: An Extraordinary Service Program for Economic Success, our chapter continues to leave a legacy of societal enrichment. We enhance the world in which we live by efficiently programming for the Five Platforms of Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, Economic Keys to Success, Economic Growth of the Black Family, Economic Educational Advancement through Technology, and Health Resource Management and Economics.
As our beloved Sorority celebrates 102 years of sisterhood, scholarship and service, it is Iota Lambda’s goal and sole responsibility to uphold the legacy set before us. Our chapter prides itself on campus leadership, innovative programming and maintaining an integral contribution in the surrounding Gainesville
