This forum gives male and female participants the opportunity to discuss and analyze the stereotypes that surround beauty in the African American community. Topics will include: Light Skinned vs. Dark Skinned, Good Hair vs. Bad Hair, and Body Weight in the Black community. Come out to what is sure to be an eye-opening discussion of the essence of “black beauty”.
Song lyrics, commentary from UF students, and shocking statements made by some of your favorite entertainers will be discussed.
